- On the baptismal records of St. Joseph Church, this child is listed as Bridget, with a birthdate of 23 Oct 1876. I would normally assume this is a different Mullarkey family, as there were other Mullarkey's and Joyces in the area. However, in the 1880 census, a daughter Bridget is listed with our Mullarkey family. Moreover, Howard Zellers Jr. wrote in his report (Malarkey #60), "Laura was born November 23, 1876...Her birth date is established by an affidavit of Marguerite E. Malarky made before the 19th Judicial Circuit Deputy Attorney of the State of Indiana on November 15, 1948." I believe Laura and Marguerite had the month wrong for many years.
