This was a calendar that Sister Cecilia sent to her sister-in-law, Anna Malarkey Obenland, at Christmas in 1902. Sister Cecilia was living at St. Aquinas Academy in Tacoma, Washington at the time. Cecilia Ann Obenland Backhaus Joder found this in her grandmother, Anna Malarkey Obenland's trunk. The trunk was Anna's father's, used when he immigrated to the United States in the 1860's. It was given to Cecilia in 1968, when she moved into her first apartment, after her mother died.
