    Enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1914. I was told that he was wounded during WWI and had mental problems after that. On the 1930 Census, Henry is listed as being an inmate of the Topeka State Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. The place is listed on the census as being an "insane institution." The hospital where Henry died was a VA neuropsychiatric hospital.

    Albert had two sisters, Marie and Marguerite. When Albert was a boy, the family lived in Durham, Ottawa County, Kansas. His father was a farmer.

    On September 9, 1918, Albert registered for the draft for WWI. He was living with his mother at 323 N. 18th St. in Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas. He was a truck driver for Kansas State Agricultural College. Albert is described as of medium height and build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

    On Marcy 25, 1920, Albert married Clatie E. Alexander in Jackson County, Missouri. I believe they were married in Independence.

    The couple had one child, a son they named Francis. Francis was born on April 23, 1921.

    In 1920, Albert was 19 and living with his parents. He was still working for the college as a truck driver.

    The 1930 Census lists the family living in Zeandale, Riley County, Kansas. Albert was a farmer.

    The last residence listed for Albert is on the Social Security Death Index. He died in December of 1973. He was living in Meridian, Jefferson County, Kansas.
