    Notes:

Anna was the daughter of Joseph M. Truttman and his wife, Friederike Dorothea Obenland. She was born on April 26, 1887 in Kansas.

She had a sister, Lydia, born in 1889 and a brother, Irwin, born in 1892.

The 1900 Federal Census shows the family living in Clay Center, Clay County, Kansas. The family owned their home free and clear. Joseph was a "wooden wagon maker." Later, in subsequent census, he would list his occupation as a wheelwright.

By 1910, the family was living at 704 W. 7th in Junction City, Geary County, Kansas. Anna was 22 years old and single. She worked as a stenographer for a bank. Her brother and sister were also living with their parents.

Anna's mother, Friederike died in 1915. By 1920, Anna had moved to Independence, Montgomery County, Kansas. She rented a room from Robert and Kate Lewis at 400 E. Main St. Anna still worked as a stenographer.

Anna stayed in Independence. Her father and sister came to live with her. By 1930 they all lived at 316 S. Fifth St. in Independence. Their rent was $20 per month. In the 1930 Census, Anna is listed as head of the household. She was 43 years old, single and a stenographer for a bank. Her sister Lydia took care of the house. By then their father, Joseph, was 77 years old and retired.

Sometime around 1936, Anna's brother, Irwin was divorced. The Polk Directories for Independence, Kansas in both 1937 and 1939 list Irwin as living with his father and sisters at 615 S. 4th. Anna worked as a stenographer for Citizen's Bank.

Anna passed away on December 16, 1963. She was buried on December 18, 1963.
