  I have written down that he came to the United States on the Habsburg, leaving Bremen, Germany and arriving in New York on 22 Nov 1883. This man was born in Datterode, Hesse, Germany on June 1, 1860. I noted that this information came from Thomas Beck on a genealogy.com forum. He has a website for Datterode, Germany.
