  In the 1900 Federal Census, there was a son named Omer listed in the Louis and Minnie Zinser family. The record shows that he was born in February, 1905. There is one other record for an Omer Zinser, and that is a Cleveland, OH city directory. After that, Omer disappears. However, a marriage record and subsequent death notice, both in Cleveland, list a John M and John Martin Zinser as a son of Louis and Minnie Zinser, both from Indiana. The marriage records shows this John M Zinzer as being born in about 1905 in Greensburg, Decatur County, Indiana, where Omer was from. The death notice for John says that John was the sibling of Louaima, Martha, Mildred, Edith, Thomas, Paul and Edwin. These are also the brothers and sisters of Omer Zinzer. John's record on the Social Security Death Index says that he was born in February, 1905, specifically the 20th. To me, this is enough proof to say that Omer was really John Martin Zinser. Note about death: His Ohio death record on Ancestry states he died on 1 December 1965. His obituary in the Cleveland Necrology File (Cleveland Public Library) reads, "...passed away Tuesday..." The obituary was on Thursday, 2 Dec 1965, which would mean he died on 30 Nov.
