Notes - Rchard, his sister Elise and Uncle Jakob Barlin came to the US together. They came over on the President Lincoln, which left the port of Cuxhaven and a arrived in New York City on Oct. 17, 1907. It looks as if Jakob had arleady immigrated and went back to pick up August and Marie's children. In the 1930 Census, Richard listed his occupation as a civil engineer for a lumber company.
