  • Notes 
    • There is a discrepancy as to where they were married. The Illinios Statewide Marriage Index 1763-1900 says they were married in Ford County, Illinois. I then found a record that they were married in St. Peters Church in Champaign County, Illinois. The 1900 Census lists Gottlieb as an invalid. Gottlieb's son Daniel petitioned the court alleging that his father was insane. The jury reached that verdict on June 15, 1911. He was placed in the custody of the sheriff for tranport to Kankakee State Hospital. Gottlieb was admitted there on 16 Jun 1911 and died there in 1916.
