    Lois (Baker) Keen McCloskey, 84, of Duncansville died Tuesday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.

    She was born in Spangler, a daughter of the late Matthew Q. and Rilla A. (McAnulty) Baker. She was twice married: first to James C. Keen Feb. 23, 1946. He died March 5, 1957. She then married Francis R. McCloskey Sept. 15, 1961. He died April 29, 1984.

    She is survived by four nieces and nephews: Richard Dibert, George Baker, Jane Dibert and Janice Mardis; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Frederick, David and Paul Baker; and a sister, Ruth Dibert.

    Mrs. McCloskey was a 1941 graduate of Woodbury High School and a 1944 graduate of Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She did private duty and general duty nursing at Altoona Hospital. She retired in 1986 as an industrial nurse from Butterick Co. after 15 years of service.

    She was a member of Hick's United Methodist Church, Duncansville. She was a member of Altoona Hospital Nurses Alumni Association and the AARP. After her retirement, she worked as a volunteer for the American Red Cross program.

    There will be a private family viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2008. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville (www.LiebegottBrown.com). A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Hick's United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Rich Morris. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, Hick's United Methodist Church or Blair Senior Services.
