    Burial: Lion's Club N. Marshall Cemetery; Marshall, Logan County, Oklahoma. As per Zeller tree by Max Adams, " 'Ernie Zeller, cause of death: "Accidental from being crushed under automobile which he evidently lost control. His neck was broken. The above was confirmed by a Coroner's Jury of 8 men.' Here is one possibility---Ernie apparently backed his car out of the garage and then got out of the car to do something and then he noticed the car rolling backward toward the creek. He apparently tried to stop the car, but it got away from him and dragged him with it to the bottom of the creek. Some reports say that his body was in the bottom of the creek under the car and underwater. However, he apparently did not drown. The death certificate stated that he died of a broken neck." Max also said that the body found on 20 Sept 1942 in the creek by his house by a neighbor, Alta Branen.
