Notes - Robert Thomas Shumac, Sr., age 65, of Selma died on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1947, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Sarah Smith Shumac. Mr. Shumac was a retired Lab Technician at Talecris in Clayton.A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 18, at 1:00 PM in Freedom Bapstist Church in Smithfield with Rev. Mike Walls officiating. Burial will be in Selma Memorial Gardens.Surviving are his wife Monica Shumac; sons, Robert Thomas Shumac, Jr. of Linden, PA, James Aaron Shumac of Huntingdon, PA and James Thomas Shumac of Four Oaks, NC; daughters Wendi Sue Dawes of Flemington, PA, Kassandra Lynn Shumac of Selma and Jessica Marie Downam of Four Oaks; sister Bertha Mae Rifenburgh of Middleburg, PA; and eight grandchildren.The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
