    • Louisa was the daughter of Karl Obenland (aka Charles) and his wife, Friedericka Bernecker. According to the 1900 Census, Louisa's parents both immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1865. No passenger lists have been found for either Charles or Friedericka as yet.

      Charles and Friedericka were married in 1866. Louisa was their third child. She had two sisters, Julie and Frieda and two brothers, Gustave and Charles.

      Louisa's father worked in a brewery for awhile and then either owned a hotel or was employed by one. Louisa grew up in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York.

      On May 25, 1893, Louisa married a German immigrant, Johann Georg Kraemer. He would be known in the United States as John George. The marriage took place in Manhattan County, New York. The marriage certificate is #6634.

      The couple had at least one child, a daughter they named Louisa. She was born on October 4, 1893 in Brooklyn, New York.

      Sometime before 1937, Louisa and John moved to Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was there on March 5, 1937 that Louisa passed away. She was buried in Cross Creek Cemetery #3 on March 7, 1937. Three years later her husband John would join her there.
