    • Louisa, or Lulu, as she was called, was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 4, 1893. She was the daughter of John George Kreamer and his wife, Louisa Pauline Obenland. John George was a German immigrant, arriving in the U.S in 1892. His name in Germany was Johann Georg Kremer. Her mother, Louisa Pauline, was the child of German immigrants as well.

      Louisa married George Frederick Gahr in about 1920. The couple had at least one child, Emily, born on August 21, 1924 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

      The 1930 Census lists the family at 305 Green Street in Fayettelville. They were renting for $35 per month. Louisa was a housewife and Fred was a salesman of "gentlemen's furnishings."

      Louisa passed away on December 16, 1964 at home in Fayetteville. She was buried three days later.

      Her middle name was either Frederike, Frederika or Frieda. Her birth certificate, as indexed on the German Genealogy Group lists her middle name as "Fre". That could mean any of the variations mentioned.
