Notes - Helen was the daughter of Frank Frodel Antle and his wife, Fern. Fern's maiden name is unknown at this time. The 1930 Census shows the family living at 624 Santa Fe St., in Atchison. They owned the home, which at that time had a value of $2,800. The home still stands today. County records show that it was built in 1930, so the Antles were probably the first owners of the property. It has four rooms, with two bedrooms and one bath in 1,068 square feet. Helen had two sisters, Virginia and Alice and two brothers, Frank Jr. and John. Occording to the Census record, their father was a janitor for a theater. After high school, Helen attended Atchison Business College. On March 29, 1946, the Atchison Daily Globe announced the engagement of Helen Jean Antle to Jack Irvin Truttman. Helen's Bridal Shower was also written up in the same newspaper on April 17, 1946. Helen and Jack were married on April 27, 1946. The wedding took place at St. Benedict's Church in Atchison at 10 AM. The Reverend Albert Haverkamp, OSB, officiated. Their marriage was also written up in the Atchison Daily Globe, in the April 29, 1946 edition. The couple had no children. Helen passed away on February 7, 2000 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Her husband Jack scattered her ashes in the water in front of their condo.
